Kaingu Gem Mines & Jewelry (Puku Pan)

Come unearth Zambia’s riches! The Association of Zambian Women in Mining comprises  women involved in mining of gemstones including emeralds, aquamarine, citrine, tourmaline and amethyst. To add value to their rough gemstones they cut, polish, and tumble them, as well as mount the stones onto gold and silver jewellery. Part of the sales go towards helping vulnerable women and children in the rural mining areas. You can visit an aquamarine mine just outside the Kafue National Park as well as the gemstone shop in Livingstone.
